The Toward Excellence, Access and Success or TEXAS Grant Program pays college costs for students with financial need who complete the Recommended High School Program or Distinguished Achievement Program in an accredited Texas high school. The TEXAS Grant program sponsored by the State of Texas does not require students to pay an application fee. To apply for this program, complete the FAFSA. Parents and students should be wary of companies requesting application fees for state and federal financial aid programs.
