The program, free to high school girls, parents, and counselors, will match students with industry professionals to discuss careers in law, engineering, accounting, public relations, human resources, geosciences, trading, risk management, information technology, environmental sciences, and finance. Parents and counselors will hear from universities and major energy employers about preparation for careers in this fast-paced, challenging industry. see scholarship deadlines page Texas Grant - The Toward Excellence, Access and Success or TEXAS Grant Program pays college costs for students with financial need who complete the Recommended High School Program or Distinguished Achievement Program in an accredited Texas high school. The TEXAS Grant program sponsored by the State of Texas does not require students to pay an application fee. To apply for this program, complete the FAFSA. New. Deadline: September 17, 2008 Ayn Rand Institute. The Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest Is open to HS SENIORS AND undergraduate students. To participate, you must read the novel and write an essay on a selected topic that can be found on the Web site. Essays are judged on both style and content. The winning essay must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of the book "Atlas Shrugged."
